SYMin in San Marcos!

SYMin does outreach every Wednesday and Friday in San Marcos from 4-6pm. We started in March 2019!

San Marcos volunteers can drop by needed materials at 4pm in the parking lot next to Southside Community Center. Southside is located at 518 S Guadalupe St, San Marcos, TX 78666.

We have a locking storage location for donation drop-off. We are seeking a room with an outside door for meetings on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 4-6pm.  

Needed Items

• We've noticed that our clients really enjoy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches since they tend to keep well.

• Cold drinks (soda, tea, water).

• Practical shoes of all sizes.

• General toiletries (shaving razors, soap, small bottles of shampoo/conditioner etc).

• New or lightly worn undergarments (boxers, undies) and socks. 

• Laundry detergent and dryer sheets. 

Current Goals

• We're currently praying and looking for new church partners and local businesses to help with outreach in the city of San Marcos in hopes to expand outreach to being on additional days of the week. 

• We're looking for a place to hold much-needed items that clients would be able to pick up to use either daily or once or twice a week.

• Our biggest goal is finding you! 🙂 We need volunteers who are passionate about uniting to help end homelessness in the city and supporting both our street-dependent youth clients and other people experiencing homelessness.
